When I was a kid, I never really understood why my friends would say "speaking." on the phone when I'd call and ask for them. Whenever someone asked, "Can I speak to Jasmine?" I would say, "IT'S ME!!!!!!!!!!"
I guess I was just more stoked to receive phone calls, because I was such a loser. A loser with poor phone manners.
